Same Again For Munster
19th January 2007 By Munster Rugby
Munster coach Declan Kidney has named an unchanged side for the clash with Leicester Tigers at Thomond Park. The squad completed their preparations for the game with a squad training session yesterday at Musgrave Park.
Meanwhile, Tigers coach Australian Pat Howard refuses to be awed by either Thomond Park or the side who have made it so famous. Howard, who returns to his native land at the end of this season said, “Eventually all records go. Munster don’t have that record in the Magners League. Edinburgh went there this season and beat them.”
And as for the place itself as far as Howard is concerned ? ” It’s just a field, just 15 guys. There’s not as much mystery to it as you would imagine.”
Munster have already qualified for the quarter-finals of the competition for a record ninth successive year. A win on Saturday would probably earn them a ‘home’ quarter-final.
In the event of them achieving that, a venue has not yet been confirmed.
ERC will require that Munster nominate a venue by February 12th but until then there will be no further ticket information relating to the quarter final.
In the event of an away quarter-final Munster will have no ticket information
until mid February.
The quarter-finals are scheduled for the weekend of March 31st.
