O’Driscoll & Stringer Back ?

Ireland coach Eddie O’Sullivan is expected to name his Ireland side for the game against England on Saturday, later this morning.

Brian O’Driscoll and Peter Stringer are expected to return to the starting XV and that means that Isaac Boss will slip to the bench. O’Driscoll will team up with regular partner Gordon D’Arcy and Shane Horgan will revert to his customary wing position.

The one to lose out may be Geordan Murphy if Andrew Trimble gets the nod for the number 22 jersey and that would see a bench comprising five Ulster players and two from Munster, Jerry Flannery and Mick O’Driscoll.

Peter Stringer sat out yesterday’s training session and O’Sullivan may very well leave a vacancy at number nine when he announces his side but the word is that the Munster man will start in Croke Park.
