Buckley Remains With Munster

Tony Buckley remains a Munster player having agreed terms with the side that sees him extend his contract for the next two seasons.

It had been reported that the Cork born Shannon player was set to leave Munster having agreed a one-year contract with English Premiership side Bath Rugby.

Buckley had rejected Munster’s initial offer and his agent John Baker ‘put out feelers’ that resulted in a firm offer that looked set to take the 26 year old to the famous Recreation Ground.

However, Munster redoubled their efforts and Buckley, after consultation with his family, accepted their new offer and to their credit, Bath accepted the player’s 11th hour change of heart.
