Carney, Flannery O’Connell in Ireland side to Play Scotland
7th August 2007 By Munster Rugby
Brian Carney is the sole Munster player named in the Ireland backline for Saturday’s friendly against Scotland in Murrayfield while Paul O’Connell and Jerry Flannery are named in the pack.
John Hayes, Alan Quinlan and Ronan O’Gara have been named on the bench. Interestingly Eddie O’Sullivan has not named a lock replacement, instead nominating two wing forwards, Quinlan and Gleeson, as cover for the back five which suggests Quinlan might see some action in the second row on Saturday.
