Downpour Takes The Heat Out Of Things
23rd August 2007 By Munster Rugby
The searing heat of Wednesday was following by torrential rain late that night to make things a little more bearable for the Munster squad in Chicago.
Except of course for those of course who had ventured downtown after dinner yesterday evening and were caught in the downpour just as they reached the team hotel.
That is located just off Michigan Avenue, a few minutes walk from the lakefront and in the shadow of the famous John Hancock Centre
Interest here in Sunday’s game is low-level to say the least with most of the attention centreing on the visit of The Boston Red Sox who take on the Chicago White Sox on Friday night.
Munster coach Declan Kidney conducted his Thursday morning training session at the Fenwick High School Athletic Grounds in the west of the city. The heavy overnight rain had left underfoot conditions a little soft and the session was complted in a ittle over an hour.
Munster will hold a joint press conference with the US Eagles Friday afternoon at The Gage Complex on South Michigan Avenue.
