Tries in the opening half from Ian Dowling and in the second from Doug Howlett helped Munster to a 16-3 win over Gloucester in the Heineken Cup quarter final at a packed and electric Kingsholm.
Playing into the wind, Munster led 8-0 at the end of a first half that saw the home side miss three kickable penalties and Ronan O’Gara extended that lesad in a Munster controlled second period before Howlett scored the clinching try in the right hand corned in front of a stunned Shed.
