MyMunster.com – A Social Network With a Difference

This week sees the launch of MyMunster.com, an online social network designed for Munster Rugby supporters. This site, developed and managed by “ClubW”, a Cork based IT Company, plans to be the most interactive place on the web for members of the Munster Rugby faithful.

MyMunster.com will allow supporters to create their own profile page, upload their photos and share videos, providing a facility that will connect Munster fans living throughout the world.

A key feature with the site is that MyMunster.com is a social network with a difference, in that supporters will be rewarded with credits for everything they do on the site – from uploading photos and adding friends. The credits can then be used to participate in competitions that allow you to win exclusive prizes, such as Heineken Cup tickets and access to Munster squad training sessions. MyMunster.com will feed and update all related Munster Rugby news items to member’s profile pages.

The network provides a unique communications channel for Munster supporters and the exciting announcement is in keeping with the club’s new approach to further engage with its supporter-base. Munster Rugby Sales & Marketing Manager, Glyn Billinghurst said, “This is a fresh and innovative idea brought to us by ClubW, which provides a platform for the changing needs of our fans to communicate in the ever evolving on-line world. The support base that Munster Rugby has, is recognized throughout Europe and further afield – Munster and it’s community of supporters will hopefully benefit from MyMunster.com”

MyMunster.com will be one of the first Rugby based supporter-oriented platforms of this nature, and it is hoped that supporters of Munster Rugby will use the network to interact with each other on a whole new level. MyMunster.com promises an extremely user-friendly experience and will allow supporters to share the experience of following the team in an unprecedented way, as they progress in the final stages of the Heineken Cup and Magners League.
