Injury Update

The news on injured pair Ronan O’Gara and Peter Stringer, who were both forced out of the action in the course of the Munster/Leinster clash yesterday evening, is positive following further medical examination.

Stringer was immediately removed to St Vincents Hospital but later discharged after it was found he had sustained soft tissue damage to his neck/soulder area while O’Gara underent a scan in Dublin this (Sunday) morning that showed no serious knee damage and the Corkman returned home later in the day.

A Munster spokesman said that in both cases it would be later in the week, probably Wednesday, before it could be ascertained how soon they could be expected to be back in action.
