Getting to the Ricoh Arena

Travel information for Munster fans heading to the Ricoh Arena on Sunday 27th April 2008.

Rugby fans have been advised to plan and confirm their travel arrangements ahead of the Heineken Cup semi-final showdown between Saracens and Munster.

The Ricoh Arena are advising fans from both clubs to take the following information into account when planning their journey:

? Arrive early ? the game is heading for a 32,000 sell-out.

? Avoid travelling through Coventry City Centre as there will be significant traffic restrictions in place from 11am to 3pm including closure of Foleshill Road and Stoney Stanton Road.

? A Heineken Village will be open inside the Jaguar Exhibition Hall at the Ricoh Arena from 10am until 8pm where refreshments, food and entertainment will be available.  Bars open at 11am.

? Turnstiles will open at 1pm. Refreshments and food will be available throughout the concourses at the Stadium.

? The Heineken Cup semi-final kicks-off at 3pm.

Munster Rugby are asking all supporters to wear the Munster colours and make sure to wave a Munster Flag!  Look out for the free Munster Rugby flags which will be distributed in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall and within the Stadium grounds. 

Car Parking:
It is essential that if you wish to park on-site at the Arena that you pre-book via www.ricoharena.com or www.ticketmaster.co.uk or telephone car parking at the Ricoh on 0044 (0 )8444 121 747 as there will be NO on-site car parking available to purchase on the day.  If not booked in advance please follow the signs for the park and ride and park and walk sites and arrive in plenty of time for the 3pm kick-off.

Disabled rugby fans and wheelchair users should ring 0044 (0) 8444 121 747 for details regarding parking in the stadium’s car-parks or email car.parking@ricoharena.com

Fans should be aware that there is NO parking available in side streets near the venue. A strict residents’ parking scheme will be enforced within two kms of the Ricoh Arena.

We advise motorists to avoid Coventry City Centre and take the following routes to the Ricoh Arena:

M1 South
Fans travelling from the South up the M1 should leave at junction 17 and take the M45 and follow the signs to the park and ride site at Coventry Airport, which is located off the Toll Bar Island. It costs ?12 per car if booked in advance. It is advisable to pre-book via www.ricoharena.com or www.ticketmaster.co.uk or telephone car parking at the Ricoh on 0044 (0)8444 121 747 but any spaces available on the day will be for cash sales at ?14 per car.  Supporters will be given a return ticket and will be dropped off near Tesco adjacent to the Ricoh Arena, which is also where they will be collected after the game.

M40 North and South
Fans travelling via the M40 should leave at junction fifteen and travel on the A46 towards Coventry. They should exit the A46 at the A45 junction and head towards London and follow the signs to the park and ride site at Coventry Airport, which is located off the Toll Bar Island. It costs ?12 per car if booked in advance. It is advisable to pre-book via www.ricoharena.com or www.ticketmaster.co.uk  or telephone car parking at the Ricoh on 0044 08444 121 747 but any spaces available on the day will be for cash sales at ?14 per car. Supporters will be given a return ticket and will be dropped off near Tesco which is adjacent to the Arena, which is also where they will be collected after the game.

M6 North and South, M69 and A14
Fans travelling from the north on the M6 and fans travelling from the south and east (via the A14, M69 and M6) should use the official park and walk sites.  Please access this by leaving the M6 at junction 3 and head towards the three official park and walk sites which are all open from 11.30am until 9pm and are a ten-minute walk to the Ricoh Arena. Mini-bus drivers should also park here. It is advisable to pre-book at ?10 space via www.ricoharena.com or www.ticketmaster.co.uk or telephone car parking at the Ricoh on 0044 (0)8444 121 747 but any spaces available on the day will be for cash sales at ?12 per car.
The details of these sites are as follows:

Christ the King Park and walk site is located on Wheelwright Lane which is accessible by leaving the M6 at J3 and going along the A444 for half a mile then turn right at the first roundabout and then the third exit into Winding House Lane. Continue to the first set of traffic lights and turn right into Wheelhouse Lane and the car park is on the right. Sat Nav users: CV7 9HR/Wheelwright Lane/Winding House Lane. There is 1,000 spaces and it costs ?10 per car if booked in advance. It is advisable to pre-book via www.ricoharena.com or www.ticketmaster.co.uk or telephone car parking at the Ricoh on 0044 (0) 8444 121 747 but any spaces will be available on the day for cash sales at ?12 per car.

Wayside Business Park Park and walk site again from J3 of the M6, follow the B4113 towards Bedworth, take the third exit at the roundabout and Wayside Business Park is on your left. Sat Nav users: CV6 6NY. There is 150 spaces available and it costs ?10 per car if booked in advance. It is advisable to pre-book via www.ricoharena.com or www.ticketmaster.co.ukor telephone car parking at the Ricoh on 08444 121 747 but any spaces will be available on the day for cash sales at ?12 per car.

St Finbars FC park and walk site has 1.400 car parking spaces.  Leave the M6 at J3 onto the A444 towards Coventry, at the first roundabout by the Ricoh Arena take the third exit onto Hen Lane, then left onto Holbrook Lane opposite the Peugeot Garage. Postcode is CV6 1DJ for Sat Nav users. There is 1,400 available spaces for ?10 per space. It is advisable to pre-book via www.ricoharena.com or www.ticketmaster.co.uk or telephone car parking at the Ricoh on 08444 121 747 but any spaces will be available on the day for cash sales at ?12 per car.

Coventry City Centre
If fans are in the City Centre they should exit the ring road at junction 3 and travel along Sky Blue Way and then turn left and travel up the A444 to the Ricoh Arena.

Coach Parking
Coaches for both clubs will be parked in Car Park C and will leave the M6 at J3. Independent coach operators have the opportunity to pre-book a free space in Car Park C and should contact coaches@ctkfc.co.uk. No guarantees can be made for on the day spaces so it is strongly recommended to pre-book your coach space.

Trains
There is a normal timetable for fans heading to Coventry from London and Watford and A-Line coaches will be located outside Coventry Railway Station to take fans to the Ricoh. Supporters will be given a return ticket and will be dropped off near Tesco which is adjacent to the Ricoh Arena, which is also where they will be collected after the game.
