The Munster View with Limerick Institute of Technology
2nd May 2008 By Munster Rugby
Munster Rugby in partnership with L.I.T. introduce The Munster View, video and audio content for www.munsterrugby.ie.
In an effort to highlight and promote all aspects of Munster Rugby, whether it is the Professional Team, Representative Sides or Domestic Rugby, the Munster View will provide exclusive video and audio content of same on munsterrugby.ie.
This is possible with the help and resources provided by the Video and Sound Department of Limerick Institute of Technology.
Students of the Video and Sound Technology Degree will be responsible for recording behind the scenes footage of Munster Rugby related events, giving supporters an insight into the wider Munster Rugby community.
The partnership between L.I.T. and Munster Rugby will give students of the Video and Sound Technology course an opportunity to gain hands-on, real world experience which is in line with the college’s policy of active learning.
Recent additions to the video and sound facilities at L.I.T. include five new professional video editing suites and four recording studios as well as extra camera equipment, ensuring L.I.T. students are fully equipped to take on the task of producing high-end video content for Munster Rugby.
The students will develop programme ideas under the guidance of Liam MacCarthaigh and course director, John Meskell, and undertake the process of shooting and editing the material as part of their coursework.
