Munster Rugby confirm Ronan Daly Jermyn (RDJ), one of Ireland’s leading law firms, as the official legal advisor to Munster Rugby.
The innovative arrangement between RDJ and Munster Rugby, for the provision of legal services for the professional game, is the first of its kind in Ireland between a law firm and a rugby team.
Commenting on the announcement John Dwyer, Managing Partner RDJ said, “We are delighted to be chosen as the official legal advisor for Munster Rugby. Our firm has a long history with Munster Rugby and this agreement makes the connection official. Munster are recognised as world leaders in the rugby world on both the playing and commercial fronts and one of our first projects has been advising Munster Rugby on their agreement with the All Blacks, whose game v Munster has been confirmed for 18th November at the new Thomond Park Stadium. We look forward to working alongside them as they continue their progress on and off the pitch.”
Munster Chief Executive Garrett Fitzgerald said: “Bringing a firm like RDJ on board as official advisors is a natural progression for us. We have grown significantly in the past number of years and are delighted to have a law firm in place who can offer us advice on our growing commercial agenda and a wide range of issues that arise in successfully running a professional organisation of our size. RDJ with their main office in Cork are able to offer us the service we need on our door step.”
