Travel Advise-Shannon Airport and Cardiff

For Munster fans traveling from Shannon to Cardiff over the coming days Shannon Airport authority and the Cardiff Council are offering the following useful tips to make your travel experience as pleasant as possible.

 Shannon Airport

Because of the large numbers of passengers expected on Friday 23rd May and Saturday morning, 24th May, they are advising that those traveling to the airport by car allow sufficient time for parking in the remote car parks which will be in use on these days.

Passengers should plan to turn up at check-in 2 hours prior to flight departure.

In order to avoid delays at security screening, ensure that no prohibited items are in your possession and familiarise yourself with the restrictions concerning the carriage of liquids, gels & pastes.

Departing passengers should note that a new hot food outlet is now open in the Departures Lounge, after security screening.

Shannon Airport wishes the Munster rugby team all the best in next Saturday’s Heineken Cup final.
