Club Spotlight – Midleton RFC

8th September 2008 By Munster Rugby

Club Spotlight – Midleton RFC

This week’s Club Spotlight is on the East Cork Club, Midleton RFC.

Summer 2008 certainly won’t be remembered fondly by many, but for those involved with Midleton RFC it has been a most productive period in terms of off-field development. After securing a Sports Capital grant last year the Club is about to complete the final phase of their current Development Plan which comprises of the following:

1) New Dressing Rooms/Gym Complex
2) New Entrance to Club
3) Tarmacadem Driveway and Parking Areas

With the tarmacadem set to be laid this week visitors to the East Cork Club will be greeted by an impressive new facility. The large two storied Complex houses four large modern dressing rooms downstairs, with three different sets of showers which will allow for segregation to accommodate both men’s and women’s teams simultaneously. Medical and Referee Rooms are included with separate shower facilities provided for the Referees.

The upstairs floor is to be used as a Club Gym and will also include a Physio room. The new Complex will greatly enhance the Club’s ability to cater for its burgeoning underage numbers as well as providing quality facilities for its very popular Summer Tag Leagues and the community as a whole.

If you wish to include your club in the monthly “Club Spotlight” feature in the Domestic Game Ezine, email damonurlich@munsterrugby.ie
