Ireland Fight for Win

As ever with the Ireland Argentina clashes today’s game yielded a hard fought battle in which Ireland secured the win on a 17-3 scoreline.

In a highly physical game it was the 76th minute before Tommy Bowe touched down for the only try of the game.

Ireland’s point scorer and man of the match Ronan O’ Gara described the game as “far from perfect” after he scored twelve of their points with 3 penalties and a dropgoal.

From a Munster point of view there is injury concern with Jerry Flannery and David Wallace.  Flannery came off after 13 minutes with a knee injury and David Wallace was carried off after 75 minutes, and has now been taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
