Mixed News On The Injury Front

Rua Tipoki and James Coughlan, injured in yesterday’s Magners League defeat by Ulster have been ruled out for four weeks and both will miss the last two Pool games in the Heineken Cup.

Tipoki, despite newspapers reports that he suffered a recurrence of the knee injury that sidelined him for the past five weeks, in fact damaged a hamstring while Coughlan who came on as a replacement for Nick Williams suffered a shoulder injury.

The badly needed good news is that Ronan O’Gara’s hamstring injury is not as serious as first thought and although doubtful for the trip to Wales is expected to be fit in time for the visit of Sale Sharks.
