Bonus Point Win For Munster
21st February 2009 By Munster Rugby
Four tries, two in each half, saw Munster earn a bonus point 28-14 win over Edinburgh in a packed Musgrave Park.
Munster led 14-7 at half time thanks to tries from Doug Howlett in the 10th minute and Tony Buckley in the 37th – after Ben Cairns had scored for the visitors – both Munster scores converted superbly from the touchline by Paul Warwick.
Munster increased their advantage in the 56 minute when Keith Earls ran in under the posts and the bonus point came in the 63rd minute when Ciaran O’Boyle capped a good performance by snaffling a loose ball on the right wing and racing over from 40 metres.
Munster had a host of good performances on the night led by Alan Quinlan who was voted the Magners Man of the Match while Denis Leamy won the Munster Toyota Man of the Match award.
