Carney & Coughlan on Ireland Sevens Squad

Munster senior players Brian Carney and James Coughlan have been named in a 12 strong Ireland Sevens Squad, for the upcoming Rugby World Cup 7s in Dubai, along with Development player Tom Gleeson, Academy player Eoghan Grace and Garryowen out-half Conan Doyle.
Also included is Felix Jones who is set to join Munster at the end of this current season on a two year contract.
In the finals that take place from March 5th-7th, Ireland are drawn in a highly competitive Pool containing Australia, Samoa and noted Sevens exponents Portugal.
Ireland will open their campaign against Samoa on Thursday March 5th, with games against Australia and Portugal the following day.
The Munster connection is continued with the inclusion of Fitness Coach Fergal O’Callaghan as part of the squad support team.
This weekend the squad – with three extra players Max Rantz McDonald (Clontarf), Mark McCrea (Ulster) and Cian Aherne (Leinster) – will take part in a warm up tournament in Portugal.
