Munster A Squad
11th March 2009 By Munster Rugby
Munster include two of their Sevens internationals, Tom Gleeson and James Coughlan, in their A squad for the game against Ulster A in Shaws Bridge tomorrow, ko 2.30pm.
Gleeson, fresh from the recent Dubai International Sevens, is named in the starting line-out while Coughlan is named on an extended bench. The sides were due to meet last month but snow forced the cancellation of that game.
The Munster A’s most recent outing was against Leinster last month, a game played in Waterpark RFC that Munster won 39-6 with the help of a brace of tries from Scott Deasy who forms a youthful midfield partnership with Gleeson in Shaws Bridge tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the bad news for Munster is that Ciaran O’Boyle, a try scorer in both his recent Magners League games, will be sidelined for at least eight weeks after tearing a hamstring in the game against Newport Gwent Dragons in Rodney Parade last Saturday.
The side includes five members of the Munster Rugby academy and two players from the sub-academy.
Munster A: Denis Hurley; Anthony Horgan, Scott Deasy*, Tom Gleeson, Kieran Lewis; Jeremy Manning, Mike Prendergast; Darragh Hurley, Michael Essex, Tim Ryan; Dave Foley*, Donnacha Ryan; Billy Holland, Niall Ronan, Nick Williams.
