Match Day Information – Munster v Leinster

If you are travelling to Thomond Park this Saturday for Munster’s top of the table clash with Leinster, find all the relevant stadium and match day information here.

This game is sold out.

Please arrive early and allow sufficient time for your journey.  Turnstiles open 2 hours before kick off at 5.30pm.  Please check your tickets for details of Turnstiles (T1-T12), your ticket will only be accepted in the identified turnstile.  See map here. Please be in your seats/terrace at least 20 minutes before kick-off.

Season Ticket Book Holders – take note your allocated ticket is the Green coloured “Thomond Park Stadium Magners League Match 3 Ticket.

Ticket collections will take place from the Thomond Park Ticket Office in the East Stand between 12pm and 6pm.

Show Your Support in a sea of red….

Come to the ground early and join in the pre match build up! The East Stand’s “Dug Out” will be open from 4.30pm with the ever popular “Amadáns & Bodhráns” providing entertainment before and after the game. 

Match programmes will be on sale for €5 from booths inside and outside the stadium.

This Saturday you will be greeted at the stadium by the Munster Massive Heads, Celtic Warriors on stilts and Murty.  Also keep an eye out for the Munster View video crew around the stadium who will be looking for supporters to shout their support for the team – Don’t be shy!

On the pitch, the Munster Rugby Supporters Club Choir, which has grown in numbers to well over 40 singers, will be leading the pre match entertainment, to be joined by the internationally renowned Celtic Tenors for some truly passionate performances of some of Munster’s favourite songs.

There will also be a special tribute made to a very fitting recipient – Mr. Pete St. John- the man who wrote “The Fields of Athenry”. Pete is attending the game as a guest of Munster Rugby and he is looking forward to witnessing the Munster fans singing his song in Thomond Park.

The powerful Arcana drummers will once again perform on the pitch, in their own unique Celtic rock style, with members of the Munster Rugby Supporters Club forming a guard of honour for the two teams as they take to the field.

Make sure to show your support for the U10 teams from St. Senan’s RFC (Co. Clare) and Castleisland RFC (Co. Kerry) who will take part in the half time Mini Rugby Display on the pitch.

Patrons are also strongly advised not to travel out to the venue as parking in and around the vicinity of Thomond Park will be severely restricted. Patrons are advised to utilise City Centre car parking areas and Park & Ride facilities in Limerick and either walk out to Thomond Park or avail of the Shuttle Bus service out to the Stadium.

As always Bus Eireann are running a shuttle bus service directly from Henry St. (besides Dunnes Stores) to Thomond Park Stadium from 5pm – 7pm.  A nominal fee is charged on board.

All Limerick City car parks as per map (View Here) will be in operation at reduced rates up to midnight.

Travel by Train from Cork to Limerick – train times are listed below.

Fans can choose from any train on outward journey and return from Limerick’s Colbert Station after the game at 22.35hrs. Reservations are essential, fans are asked to purchase their rail tickets on Iarnoid Eireann’s website – http://www.irishrail.ie/

A new Park & Ride facility will be in operation from The Limerick Racecourse for all matches at Thomond Park starting with the Leinster match this weekend.

The racecourse can facilitate up to 2000 vehicles and this service will be operated by Mike Hyman Coaches. Departures will commence at 4pm on Saturday and the return fare will be €10 per person.

This operator is also operating Park & Ride services from the Kilmurry Lodge Hotel on the Dublin Road and from the Radisson Hotel on the Ennis Road. These services commence at 4.30pm and return fare is €5 per person.
