Almost There

Munster’s bonus point win on Friday in Musgrave Park and Edinburgh’s last gasp win at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday means that Munster need just one point from their remaining two Magners League games to clinch the title for the second time.

Those last two games are against Cardiff Blues in the Arms Park on Sunday May 10th and then a Thomond Park final Magners game of the year against Ospreys on Friday May 15th.

Before the Ospreys arrive back in Limerick however, they play the Dragons and Glagow Warriors at the Liberty and must take maximum points from both those games to leave themselves a chance of snatching the title.

Now, were Ospreys to lose next Thursdsay at home to the Dragons – or win without the bonus point – then the title is Munster’s because if subsequent results went in Ospreys favour and both sides were to end on the same points, Munster would claim the title on more games won.
