Munster Bring In Cover For O’Leary

The Waikato Chiefs scrum-half Toby Morland will join Munster as cover while Tomas O’Leary recovers from the ankle injury that he sustained against the Scarlets in Musgrave Park in April.

The 26 year old from Omaru on the south island, has been signed on a short term five month contract that begins on July 1st. Morland played with Otago prior to this season when he moved to the Chiefs and the 12 Super 14 games he played for them included the semi-final and final of the Super 14.

Meanwhile Munster’s Denis Hurley and Denis Fogarty played their parts in Ireland A’s 30-19 win over Canada at Infinity Park in Denver Colorado yesterday.

Hurley opened the scoring for Ireland A with a try after just three minutes using the speed and strength to squeeze in at the left corner while Fogarty, who came on as a 62nd minute replacement for Sean Cronin scored Ireland’s final try just before the finish.
