Ireland Destroy England in Churchill Cup Final
21st June 2009 By Munster Rugby
Ireland A blew England A off the park in the final of the Churchill Cup scoring six tries on their way to a facile 49-22 victory
Tries from Devon Toner and Isaac Boss helped Ireland to a 20-12 half-time lead that was further extended when Sean Cronin scored from the restart.
Then Man of the Match, the Munster bound Felix Jones scored in the 55th minute before starting the move that led to Johne Murphy scoring try number five four minutes later.
John Muldoon scored the final try and Tom Varndell’s last minute try was scant consolation for an England side that were beaten as compehensively in every facet of play as they were on the scoreboard.
