Munster Tops In Thomond

Tries from Marcus Horan in the first half and Denis Leamy in the second and the accurate boot of Jeremy Manning helped Munster to a 24-13 win over Cardiff Blues in Thomond Park
Munster held a comfortable16-3 lead as half time approached but then conceded a try to Xavier Rush that Ben Blair converted to leave them just six points clear at the break.
Blair made it a three point game with a penalty after just two minutes of the restart but Munster held their nerve with Manning’s fifth successful effort before Leamy rounded things off nicely stretchiing backwards to touch down over this head for try that sealed the outcome.
