Match Day – Heading to Thomond Park

Please find match day information here for Munster’s Heineken Cup round two game against Benetton Treviso on Saturday the 17th, ko 1.35pm.

Please arrive early and allow sufficient travel time for your journey.

Gates open at 11.30am and kick off is at 1.35pm.  There are no tickets available for this game.

Travel Update:
Park and Ride

11am – Start from Kilmurry Lodge to Thomand Park €;5 return

12noon – Start from Radisson Hotel to Thomand Park €;5 return

12noon – Start from Ballykisteen Hotel and Golf Resort, Limerick Junction, Tipperary to Thomond Park €;10 return

Parking

There is NO parking in the vicinity of Thomond Park Stadium.

City Centre
There are significant parking facilities available at reduced rates in the multi storey car parks in the city centre.

Public Transport
There is a public bus service operating directly from Limerick city centre to Thomond Park Stadium. The pick up location is Henry Street and the service operates from 11.30am

Take Note of Road Works
Limerick City Council advise that major road works will be in operation from 1st October, 2009 until 30th October, 2009.
These road works will cause very significant traffic congestion and delays on the Ballysimon Road and the Tipperary Road for inbound traffic on route to Thomond Park on 17th October, 2009.

To avoid these delays, motorists are advised to travel early and to divert onto Childers Road to the Dublin Road and to Childers Road to the Roxboro Road.
Gates open at 11.30am, 2 hours before kick off.

Thomond Park
There are numerous bar and catering facilities available throughout the stadium for your pre match and post match enjoyment.

Match Flags – Please recycle flags in the allocated recycling bins in places at the stadium exits. 

There will be stewards and security on site to assist you with your enquiries on the day and to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely so please respect their requests.

Please do not enter the pitch area at any time and adhere to the stadium ground regulations.

Please note Munster Women play their Interprovincial opener against Ulster A at 5.30pm.
