Travelling To Thomond – Munster v Ulster

Please find all relevant match day information here for Munster’s Magners League interprovincial clash against Ulster this Saturday, ko 5pm.

Gates open 2 hours before kick-off at 3pm.  Please arrive early and allow sufficient travel time for your journey.

TICKETS

Please take note of the following ticket sale locations and times to avoid any confusion on the day:

Tickets will be on sale from the ticket office (located in the East Stand next to reception) up to 3pm, then from the Ticketmaster vehicles parked outside the Green Gate (T5) and Blue Gate (T6).

Ticketmaster collections will take place from the Ticketmaster vehicles from 3pm.

Thomond Park Season ticket book holders – Please note your ticket should be the Magners League Match 2 Purple ticket.

Please be in your seats/terrace at least 20 minutes before kick-off.  Please check your tickets for the details of the turnstiles (T1-T12) as your ticket will only be accepted in the turnstiles identified on your ticket.

TRAVEL & PARKING

Take Note of Road Works – major road works have been in operation from October 1st and are due to finish on October 30th.  If still in operation these road works may cause very significant traffic congestion and delays on the Ballysimon Road and the Tipperary Road for inbound traffic on route to Thomond Park on 31st October, 2009.

To avoid these delays, motorists are advised to travel early and to divert onto Childers Road to the Dublin Road and to Childers Road to the Roxboro Road.

The Limerick Park and Ride facility is available with return tickets, picking up from the Kilmurry Lodge, Radisson Hotel, Ballykisteen Hotel and Golf Resort, and Limerick Junction.  Contact details are http://www.limerickparkandride.com/ and the direct line is 061-381700.

There is a public bus service operating directly from Limerick city centre to Thomond Park Stadium from 3pm, picking up from Henry St.

There is strictly NO parking in the vicinity of Thomond Park Stadium.  Parking is available at the significant parking facilities in the city centre.

PRE-MATCH ENTERTAINMENT

The Dug-Out bar located in the East Stand is open from 3pm with live entertainment and competitions to win match tickets.

The on-pitch entertainment starts 30 minutes before kick-off featuring local tenor Derek Moloney, the Munster Rugby Supporters Choir and the Arcana Massive Heads.

Match Programmes are on sale for €4 from booths inside and outside the stadium.

STADIUM ENTERTAIMENT

There are numerous bars and catering facilities within Thomond Park, all open 2 hours before kick-off.

Customers are not permitted to exit and enter the stadium at any point.

No one will be able to enter the stadium with alcohol or glass and customers will be requested to remove the lids of any soft drinks containers on the entering the stadium.

Please do not enter the pitch area at any time and adhere to the stadium ground regulations found here.
