Additional Players for the Munster Rugby Academy

Munster Rugby Academy Manager Ian Sherwin confirmed two new signings to the Munster Rugby Academy today.

Brian O’Hara and Dave O’Callaghan have now been promoted from the sub academy to the Munster Rugby Academy programme, increasing the academy group to fifteen players for the 09.10 season.

Both players hail from Cork and at 19 years of age they have featured for Munster U20s,  Irish Schools and are currently involved in the Irish U20s squad.

Number 7 Brian O’Hara played his schools rugby with PBC and now plays for UL where he studies Business. Brian impressed for the Irish U20s in the Junior World Championships in Japan in June where he was Munster’s only player to start in all three pool games.

Youghal man Dave O’Callaghan played his schools rugby with Midleton College and now plays his club rugby for UCC at number 6.  He also played for the Irish U20s in Japan and made his Munster debut in August coming on as a replacement against the Sale Sharks in Musgrave Park.

Academy Players 09/10: Stephen Archer, Danny Barnes, Andrew Burke, Scott Deasy, Kieran Essex, Dave Foley, Eoghan Grace, Conor Murray, Ian Nagle, Peter O’Mahony, Pa O’Regan, Paul Rowley, Mike Sherry, Dave O’Callaghan, Brian O’Hara.
