Munster Set Out Their Stall in Treviso

A bright sun and clear blue sky bid the Munster squad welcome when their Charter touched down in Treviso this afternoon.

The Munster team flight, packed with supporters and press, arrived after an uneventful 2 and a half hour  flight from Shannon.

A five minute coach journey took them to the Maggior Consiglio Hotel situated about 15 minutes from the match venue, the Stadio Communale Monigo.

After check-in the squad then departed to the stadium for the usual walk about and then paid a short visit to a Treviso city centre already thronged with Munster supporters.

The 2.35 kick off tomorrow means an early start with breakfast planned for 8am and after that it’s a question of normal pre-match routines before departing the hotel at 1pm.

Meanwhile, Benetton Treviso have named their strongest possible side, one that shows just one change from the side that lost narrowly to Northampton Saints, with Italian international Benjamin de Jager preferred to the Argentinean Emiliano Mulieri.

Benetton Treviso: L McLean, A Vilk, A Sgarbi, G Garcia, B de Jager, M Goosen, S Picone, M Rizzo, L Ghiraldini, I Fernandez Rouyet, A Pavanello, C van Zyl, B Vermaak , A Zanni, D Kingi Replacements: D Vidal, A Allori, P di Santo, E Pavanello, M Filippucci, S Orlando, F Semenzato, T Botes
