Vacancy: Women’s Community Rugby Officer

Munster Rugby are currently accepting applications for the position of Women’s Community Rugby Officer.

POST TITLE: Women’s Community Rugby Officer
LOCATION: Cork

ROLE & PURPOSE
The Women’s Community Rugby Officer is an integral part of the Munster Branch rugby operations and the successful applicant will be responsible for the continued development of the women’s game in Munster, through support and development of volunteers, players and coaches.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main duties include:
Responsible for increasing participation in the women’s game in identified clubs, schools and colleges, and ensuring players have a life long experience in the game.
Responsible for Age Grade player development programmes

Develop activities to promote the women’s game within Munster.
Funding applications for the women’s game. This would require the WCRO to have a good knowledge of provincial funding sources (ie ISC, LSP, County Councils, RAPID etc) and the ability to develop partnership agreements for the good of Munster Rugby.
With the support of the CROs, deliver girls Blitzes, Skills Days, Extravaganzas, etc
As required, implement seminars/workshops to increase the knowledge and expertise of women’s rugby volunteers
Facilitate projects as determined by the Community Rugby Manager.
Work with Munster Women’s committee in achieving agreed goals
Manage programmes to budgetary guidelines

KEY QUALITIES

The successful candidate will have a:

• Level 1 (Stage 3) Coaching Qualification and or High Level (Stage 4) equivalent playing experience , and ideally, experience in dealing with volunteers / organisations in a support capacity.
• Experience at working at stages 1 to 3 of the IRFU LTPD
• Ability to influence others positively
• Excellent written and verbal communication/ presentation skills
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Well developed time management skills including the ability to set and meet deadlines and to prioritise work
• Strong working knowledge of excel, word and email.
• Significant experience as a player and/or coach that will contribute to high rugby community credibility.
• Proven experience and involvement in women’s rugby.
