O’Gara Back To Captain Munster.

25th March 2010 By Munster Rugby

O’Gara Back To Captain Munster.

Ronan O’Gara will captain a Munster side showing eight changes – two positional – in the starting XV for tomorrow’s Magners League clash with Glasgow Warriors at Thomond Park Stadium (8pm).

However, 18 of those who featured in the match day 22 against Scarlets a week ago are on duty tomorrow with Alan Quinlan and Denis Hurley restored to the starting XV, Lifeimi Mafi back after serving his one match suspension and O’Gara joined by his Irish colleague from the Scotland game, Donncha O’Callaghan and Tony Buckley.

Meanwhile, Barry Murphy makes a welcome return to action at the weekend when he lines out for his club UL Bohemians in the AIB League game against Garryowen at Dooradoyle.

Murphy limped out of the Magners League game with Dragons after just nine minutes back in September and although initially thought not to serious it required surgery in December. He was named on the British & Irish Cup squad for the game against Nottingham in February but further aggravated the injury in the lead-up to the kick off but now makes a timely return as Munster face into their busy end of season period.

Munster: P Warwick; D Hurley, L Mafi, J de Villiers, I Dowling; R O’Gara capt, P Stringer; M Horan, D Fogarty, T Buckley; D O’Callaghan, M O’Driscoll; A Quinlan, N Ronan, J Coughlan. Replacements: D Varley, D Ryan, B Holland, N Williams, D Williams, T Gleeson, D Howlett.
