Extra Train Services for Upcoming Munster Games

Iarnrod Eireann have announced extra train services will be in operation for Munster’s Good Friday clash against Leinster and Munster’s Heineken Cup quarter final tie against Northampton Saints.

Iarnród Éireann would like to advise Munster Rugby supporters that an extra train has been laid on from Limerick to Cork (also serving Charleville and Mallow) after the Munster v Leinster Magner’s League game in Thomond Park, Limerick this Friday evening (20.05hrs), the 2nd April 2010.

Munster Rugby supporters will be able to travel to Limerick on any of the regular scheduled trains from Cork, Mallow or Charleville.

There are trains every hour from Cork to Limerick (changing trains at Limerick Junction for Limerick City) – so fans can choose to travel on a train of their choice to Limerick on the day.

Iarnród Éireann has laid on an extra train after the game returning from Limerick at 23.30hrs which will travel direct to Cork (no changing trains at Limerick Junction) – serving Charleville and Mallow – scheduled to arrive in Cork at 00.56hrs

To ensure the comfort and enjoyment for everyone, alcohol will not be available on the extra 23.30hrs Limerick – Cork train on Friday night and Iarnród Éireann is asking rugby fans for their co-operation on this matter.

In order to avoid disappointment at not being able to travel on the train of your choice, Munster rugby fans are being asked to pre-purchase their rail tickets on-line at: www.irishrail.ie

Reservations are essential and priority will be given to passengers who have pre-booked their seats / tickets on-line.

Rugby fans can also pre purchase their rail tickets by phoning Iarnród Éireann’s new Telesales number 1-850-TRAINS (Phone 1-850-872467).

For further information log onto irishrail.ie or phone 1-850-TRAINS

Iarnród Éireann have also laid on an extra train from Limerick (departing Limerick at 20.50hrs) to Charleville, Mallow and Cork after the Munster v Northampton Heineken Cup Quarter Final game on Saturday, 10th April 2010.

Reservations are also essential on this train.
