Ulster Do Munster A Favour

Ulster came to the aid of Munster with a five try bonus point victory over Edinburgh in Murrayfield today.

Besides the fact that this win virtually guarantees them a place in the Heineken Cup ahead of their final game with Connacht it also means that Munster travel to Cardiff in a fortnight’s time with a place in the semi-final as prize for the winner of that clash with the Blues.

As things stand Munster are now in fourth position on 44 points with the Blues in fifth on 40, same as Edinburgh whose final game is against Leinster at the RDS.

Third placed Warriors (46 pts) finish up with an away fixture against Scarlets while second placed Ospreys (47 pts) can be expected to take full points from the visit of Dragons.
