Pre-Season Trip
10th August 2010 By Munster Rugby
Later today the Munster squad and management fly out from Cork International Airport for a week long warm weather camp in La Manga.
The 1400 acre resort is located near Murcia in southern Spain, in a region known as the Costa Cálida, or 'warm coast', thanks to its mild, year-round Mediterranean climate.
The 43 strong Munster squad plus Academy scrum-half Conor Murray, coaches and fitness and medical staff will arrive there this evening for a week of intense training, returning home on the Wednesday prior to their season opening friendly against Leicester Tigers at Musgrave Park.
Yesterday the squad trained in UL – sharing that facility with NEC Harlequins – although Munster's international contingent were put through their paces in a separate session under the supervision of national coach Declan Kidney and defence coach Les Kiss.
