Munster Settle In
13th August 2010 By Munster Rugby
After a slight delay in arrival into Alicante on Tuesday evening, the Munster squad have settled into their La Manga base and begun a rigorous training programme.
For the 44 strong squad, it involves them getting in two pitch sessions each day plus one gym session in ideal conditions at a facility that coach Tony McGahan declares as 'top class, a perfect environment in which to prepare for the season ahead'.
Each day begins for the management with a 7.30am meeting followed by breakfast and onto the pitch by 9.30am and after gym, an early evening pitch session and various organisational sessions, ends for the players with Pool recovery at 6.30pm.
Their field sessions have proved extremely popular with holidaymakers, large crowds turning up to watch them being put through their paces.
They have a day off tomorrow before returning to training duty on Sunday although arrangements have been made to watch the Tipperary/Waterford All Ireland hurling semi-final clash.
The squad fly home late on Tuesday evening.
