Manning Stars In Middlesex Sevens Triumph.

Former Munster player Jeremy Manning was the star of the show today in Newcastle Falcon’s Middlesex Sevens Plate final win over Wales at Twickenham.

Manning who was released at the end of last season, scored a try and two conversions in the Falcon's 14-10 victory over the Welsh international selection.

In the semi final the 24 year old scorched in for two superb tries and was replaced immediately after he added the conversion of the second, to be kept fresh for the final.

It proved a clever ploy as Manning played a central role in what was a close final and a tense finish.

Manning also scored a try in the earlier round game against Leicester Tigers.

In the main event London Irish were beaten 15-12 by the Samurai side.
