Heineken Cup Rugby Returns To Thomond

Heineken Cup Round 2 – Munster v Toulon, Saturday 16th October, ko 3.30pm.

Please note this game is sold out. Gates open at 1.30pm, two hours before kick- off.

Please check your tickets for the details of the turnstiles (T1 – T12). Your ticket will only be accepted in the turnstiles identified on your ticket.

Travel
Please try to arrive early and allow sufficient time for your journey.

The Park and Ride facility will be in operation from the following locations:
Kilmurry Lodge Hotel – Service starting @ 12.30pm
Radisson Hotel, Ennis Rd – Service starting @ 12.30pm
City East Plaza – Service starting @ 12.30pm
Maldron Hotel – Service starting @ 2.30pm
Raheen Ryans Centra – Service starting @ 1pm

The Bus Eireann Shuttle Bus Service from outside the Dunnes Stores on Henry St. starts at 1pm.

There is no parking in the vicinity of Thomond Park Stadium but parking is available at all city centre car parks.

Pre-Match
The Dug-Out bar is open from 1.30pm with live entertainment and competitions to win match tickets and signed merchandise. There are numerous bars and catering facilities in Thomond Park and all open at 1.30pm.

On the pitch entertainment starts at 2.30pm with music from Cara O’Sullivan and the Munster Rugby Supporters Club choir and Arcana.

Win the chance to “Kick for a Car” at half-time!
Three contestants will be selected to take part in the competition; two will be pre-selected from ongoing supporters club and general entries, and the third contestant COULD BE YOU!

How To Enter
For your chance to take to the Thomond Park turf and kick for a brand new 1.4L Diesel Luna 5 Door Toyota Auris- simply answer the following question:
How many times has Munster won the Heineken Cup?
A. 2
B. 10
C. 20

Match goers can Text BALL followed by A, B or C and YOUR NAME to 57800 (texts costs €;2.50).

Each kicker will also be able to choose a registered Irish charity to receive a €;500 donation, courtesy of Toyota Ireland. More details and terms and conditions can be found here.

Match programmes will be on sale from booths inside and outside the stadium for €;5. Former Munster back John Kelly talks about his own playing days and going head to head with French opposition. We also hear from England and Toulon’s Paul Sackey as he adjusts to life in the South of France, and finally Peter Stinger and David Wallace give us their Heineken Cup perspective ahead of Saturday’s clash.

Stadium Information
Customers are not permitted to exit and re-enter the stadium at any point.

No one will be able to enter the stadium with alcohol or glass and customers will be requested to remove the lids of any soft drink containers on entering the stadium.

Please do not enter the pitch area at any time and adhere to the stadium ground regulations found here.

There will be stewards and security on site to assist you with your enquiries on the day, and to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely, so please respect their requests.
