Munster Rugby Helping The Community At Home And Abroad
20th October 2010 By Munster Rugby
This season Munster Rugby have established a structure to actively support three nominated charities.
We will work with these charities to help raise funds for specific agreed projects that are taking place in the next ten months, ensuring that the need is “real and relevant.”
Throughout the season Munster will look to support these charities in the following ways: player appearances, signed merchandise, a hospitality box at a Magners League match in Thomond Park, and supporting various fundraising activities during the year.
Announcing the new initiative Munster Rugby CEO Garrett Fitzgerald said “We are delighted to eventually put a structure on a very important part of our corporate and social responsibility. Such support is a very important part of our culture and player development. This policy will allow us to annually focus our attention on deserving charities and play our part in supporting them.”
The Charities selected for the 2010/11 season are Suicide Aware, TLC4CF and UNICEF, with details of each charity listed here.
