Match Day Information – Munster v Australia

If travelling to Thomond on Tuesday for the Sony Ericsson Challenge, Munster v Australia, please find all relevant match day information here.

Munster v Australia, The Sony Ericsson Challenge, Thomond Park, Tuesday November 16th, ko 8pm

Gates will open at 6pm, two hours before kick-off. 

Tickets are still available for this game and can be purchased from the ticket offices in Cork (Tramore Rd.) and Limerick (Thomond Park), the Munster Rugby stores, the Ticketmaster hotline 0818 719 300 and online here.

Tickets will also be available to purchase on the night from the Ticketmaster outlet at Hassett's Cross (Green Gate) from 5pm.

Please check your tickets for the details of the turnstiles (T1 – T12). Your ticket will only be accepted in the turnstiles identified on your ticket.  View a plan of Thomond Park here.

Travel
Please try to arrive early and allow sufficient time for your journey.

The Park and Ride facility will be in operation from the following locations:
Kilmurry Lodge Hotel – Buses starting at 4.30pm
Radisson Hotel, Ennis Rd. – Buses starting at 5.30pm
City East Plaza – Buses starting at 5.30pm
Maldron Hotel – Bus leaving at 7.00pm
Raheen Ryans Centra – Buses starting at 5.15pm
Public Bus Service from City Centre starting at 6pm

The Bus Eireann public bus service starts at 6pm from outside the Dunnes Stores on Henry St.

There is no parking in the vicinity of Thomond Park Stadium but parking is available at all city centre car parks.

Entertainment
The Dug-Out bar is open from 6pm with live entertainment from “Heritage Green”.  There are numerous bars and catering facilities in Thomond Park and all open at 6pm.

On the pitch entertainment starts at 7pm, and pre-match and halftime highlights will include performances from The High Kings with Adam O'Sullivan – The platinum selling folk artists and eight year old Adam O'Sullivan from Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick will perform their current single “Whiskey in the Jar” on the pitch at half-time.

Regular performers at Munster's Heineken Cup games, The Celtic Tenors, will once again lead the way with a rousing performance before kick-off and Cork born accordion legend and multi instrumentalist Liam O'Connor will perform with award winning Arcana. All this and much more when Munster take on Australia in Thomond Park!

Match programmes for this historic event will be on sale from booths inside and outside the stadium for €;5.

Stadium Information
Customers are not permitted to exit and re-enter the stadium at any point.

No one will be able to enter the stadium with alcohol or glass and customers will be requested to remove the lids of any soft drink containers on entering the stadium.

Please do not enter the pitch area at any time and adhere to the stadium ground regulations found here.

There will be stewards and security on site to assist you with your enquiries on the day, and to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely, so please respect their requests.
