No Christmas Cheer For O’Connell
23rd December 2010 By Munster Rugby
There was no Christmas cheer for Paul O’Connell today, his appeal against the four week following on from his red card against Ospreys at Thomond Park upheld today by an ERC Appeal Committee.
O'Connell and team manager Shaun Payne traveled from Limerick this morning by train to the Dublin offices of Donal Spring where the former international presented the appeal via conference call through Appeal Chairman Lorne Crerar.
However, the outcome, delivered some two hours later, but not by Crerar himself, found in favour of the original sanction.
