Munster Squad Tomorrow

Munster Squad Tomorrow

Given that they have players involved with international squad’s preparation for the game against Scotland and others who were involved in the British & Irish Cup last night against Bristol, Munster will wait until after tomorrow’s training in Cork before announcing their squad for the trip to Italy and the game against Aironi on Sunday.

One of those who will thankfully come into consideration for the Aironi game is Tom Gleeson, stretchered off towards the end of the game at the Memorial Stadium last night. Credit to all involved  for their patient care when Gleeson went down injured but the Cork Con centre returned to the team hotel after examination in the local hospital, and he is expected to be in consideration for selection.

Alan Quinlan may also feature having returned to full training while the news of Felix Jones and Peter O'Mahony is that they may be ready to face Ulster in the A game next month and Niall Ronan could be available for selection next week ahead of the Dragons game.

On the down side, neither John Hayes nor Jerry Flannery are expected to take any further part in the RBS Six Nations while Barry Murphy continues to wear a leg cast and best case scenario for  Ian Dowling is an end of season return to action.
