Munster Through To Magners Grand Final
14th May 2011 By Munster Rugby
A first Magners League try for Danny Barnes and a Ronan O’Gara penalty had Munster leading Ospreys 8-3 at half time in Thomond Park Stadium.
Ospreys, playing with the aid of a stiff breeze had the opportunity to take the lead in the 6th minute when James Hook attempted a drop goal that drifted wide.
Munster, thanks to a dominant scrum had the best try scoring chances before they eventually created the space out wide for Barnes to score and deservedly lead at the break.
O'Gara extended the lead with a penalty on the 49th minute, before Danny Barnes added his second try seven minutes later.
Ospreys fullback Richard Fussell scored a late try to give a final score of 18 points to 11 in Munster's favour.
