Wasps Squad

Wasps Squad

Munster can expect stiff opposition tomorrow night in their opening home game of the season at Musgrave Park with London Wasps looking to make amends for their defeat the previous weekend.

They had their seasonal opener in France against Agen where they lost 14-7 on the same night that Munster were in La Rochelle and the Dai Young coached side will complete their preparations with a game against Benetton Treviso in Henley.

Young took over the helm at Adams Park at the end of last season and included in his squad for Friday's game is former Blues boy Nick Robinson who joins this season from Gloucester, and flyers, the former Saracens Richard Houghton and Tom Varndell previously of Leicester Tigers.

Meanwhile, Munster make nine changes from the side that started in La Rochelle, basically a case of Tony McGahan giving those who didn't start in France a go from the start except for those involved in tonight's game in Donnybrook.

The only ones unavailable through injury are Darragh Hurley (leg), and Troy Smith (knee) who has signed a Development contract for the season.

London Wasps From – Backs: Alex Cheesman, Jack Wallace, Richard Haughton, Tom Varndell, Chris Mayor, Chris Bell, Christian Wade, Nick Robinson, Ryan Davis, Jonah Holmes, Nic Berry, Charlie Davies. Forwards: Jeremy Castex, Simon McIntyre, Bob Baker, Guillermo Roan, Ben Broster, Nathan Morris, Tom Lindsay, James Cannon, Marco Wentzel, Richard Birkett, Sam Jones, John Hart (captain), Billy Vunipola.
