Jones World Cup Hopes Shattered
21st August 2011 By Munster Rugby
Felix Jones World Cup hopes have been shattered with the news that he will be out of action for up to six weeks following injury yesterday in the game against France.
An MRI Scan today showed that Jones had sustained ligament damage to his right foot and he will undergo further medical examination this week to establish if sugery is required.
Ireland Manager Paul McNaughton commenting said, “The squad and management are bitterly disappointed for Felix to suffer an injury at such a vital time in terms of selection for the final touring party. He had certainly put himself into contention over preseason and the games in the last three weeks. We all wish him a speedy recovery and that he is back playing as soon as possible.”
