Trend Micro In Partnership With Munster Rugby

Trend Micro, the global leader in cloud security with EMEA headquarters in Cork, today confirmed that it has been appointed as the official security partner to Munster Rugby.

This unique and innovative partnership will ensure that the renowned Munster defence will be secured by the No.1 independent content security provider in the world, Trend Micro.

Commenting on the announcement Anthony O’Mara, Senior VP, Trend Micro EMEA said: “Trend Micro is delighted to beAnthony O'Mara, Senior VP, Trend Micro EMEA with Munster's Ian Nagle and James Coughlan appointed “Official Security Partner to Munster Rugby”.  The team is recognised internationally as leaders both on the field and commercially off the field.  We look forward to providing the market leading security solutions to Munster Rugby and building a strong long-term relationship with them”.

Munster Rugby Chief Executive Garrett Fitzgerald added: “We are pleased to be establishing a new partnership with Trend Micro, an international business and globally recognised brand as well as a significant employer in Cork. We are very pleased that Trend Micro are launching their partnership through the sponsorship of our Pre-Season Match against London Irish on Friday 26th August in Thomond Park which should really bring the partnership to life.”

The official partnership between Munster Rugby and Trend Micro takes effect immediately, and will run for a 3 year period, through to the end of the 2013-14 season.

Trend Micro (EMEA) also has Rugby partnerships with London-Irish and Racing Metro 92 (France).
