Open Training Session Cancelled
30th October 2011 By Munster Rugby
The Open Training planned for next Tuesday has been cancelled because the squad have had to switch their session over to UL.
Munster had originally scheduled their training that day for Thomond Park to facilitate public attendance. However, with two games (International Rugby League & Heineken Cup) scheduled for the pitch in the space of seven days and given the recent bad weather, the squad training session has had to be switched back to UL.
Munster will look to organise an open session in the coming months although weather and the heavy fixture load, involving both senior and B&I squads, means it may be the New Year before the opportunity arises.
A press release issued this morning said.
'Because of the recent heavy rain and upcoming international Rugby League and Heineken Cup matches scheduled for Thomond Park Stadium, Munster's training session next Tuesday (Nov 1st) has had to be relocated to UL.
Therefore the plan to open the session to the public has unfortunately had to be cancelled.
Munster Rugby regrets any inconvenience or disappointment caused and will Endeavour to re-organise at a later date although that is likely to be in the New Year.'
