Stringer In The Best Of Company Today

Last weekend it was a place on the bench at The Gnoll for a British & Irish Cup game for Peter Stringer. This afternoon it’s a near full Twickenham and the famous Barbarian number 9 shirt for him for the game against Australia (14.35).

He'll have Danny Cipriani outside him alongside the likes of Isaia Toeava, Bryan Habana and Stirling Mortlock, while Stringer's opposite number will be Will Genia who leads an Aussie back line, an Aussie side, populated with class.

So changed times in the space of a week for Munster's most capped player (223) who'll celebrate his 34th birthday next month. He made his Munster debut in November 1998, played in three Heineken Cup finals, of course scoring that memorable try in 2006, and today will show the array of skills, in the most exalted of company, that keeps him to the forefront of the game.

Replacements: Adriaan Strauss (RSA), Salvatore Perugini (ITA), Marco Bortolami (ITA), Jason White (SCO), Seru Rabeni (FIJ), Richard Kahui (NZL), Nemia Kenatale (FIJ)
