Tralee RFC Hosts B&I Cup

Tralee RFC is set for it’s first British and Irish Cup game this Saturday when the Munster A side take on Scottish side Ayr.

In the new format this year, Munster, placed in pool 2 are pitted against opposition from pool 1, including English side Cornish Pirates and Moseley, Welsh side Neath and Scottish club side Ayr.

Saturday's game is a must win affair as Munster currently hold second place in pool 2 with five points, and Cross Keys RFC hold pole position on ten points.  The six pool winners and two best placed runners up will advance to the quarter final stages.  B&I Cup table can be viewed here.

Ayr, like Munster, have recorded one victory and one defeat to this point and for any chance of progressing in this competition Munster need to secure a home victory this weekend in Kerry.
