Still Work To Be Done

Already assured of a place in the quarter finals, Munster still have a job to do if they’re to secure a home tie in April.
Leinster are virtually assured of top seed and only an upset of monumental proportion today in Glasgow will prevent that. Saracens would look well placed to be seeded with a home game today against Biarritz who are by no means out of the running but might be by 5pm this evening, followed by a trip to Treviso and the smart money would be on Toulouse to be hosting a quarter final, their final game is in Kingsholm.
Other contenders for the knock-outs are, Edinburgh and Cardiff Blues in Pool 2, Ulster and Clermont in Pool 4 and of course Harlequins in Pool 6, whose last game is in Galway next Friday night.
What is almost certain however is that the 20 points they've garnered already is not enough for a home quarter so the trip to Milton Keynes next weekend is vitally important in that regard.
And they look like they'll be making that trip without Niall Ronan who was forced out of yesterday's game with a knee injury. His obvious replacement Tommy O'Donnell is also on the injured list but the move to the backrow by Donnacha Ryan when Donncha O'Callaghan came on for Ronan was effective and provides Tony McGahan with an option to consider for the trip to England.
