Leinster Do Munster A Favour

Leinster, already guaranteed a home RaboDirect PRO12 semi-final, did Munster a favour with their 16-8 win over Ulster in Ravenhill this evening.

It leaves Ulster in 5th place on 56 points with one game left, against Munster in Thomond Park Stadium on May 5th.

Ospreys virtually guaranteed themselves the runner-up spot with a bonus point win, thanks to an added time Shane Williams try, over Dragons at the Liberty Stadium. They finish up with an away game against Aironi while fourth placed Warriors play Treviso in Stadio di Monigo on Sunday and wind up the League section at home to Connacht on May 5th.

Munster (60 pts) and Scarlets who meet tomorrow in Llanelli are separated by five points and nothing less than a win will suffice for the home side if they're to keep their play off hopes alive.

Scarlets have won four of their last five matches in the RaboDirect PRO12, whilst their only home defeat in the tournament this season was to table-topping Leinster in round four.

Scarlets: Liam Williams; George North, Adam Warren, Stephen Jones, Sean Lamont; Rhys Priestland, Gareth Davies; Rhodri Jones, Matthew Rees (capt), Deacon Manu; Sione Timani, Dominic Day; Aaron Shingler, Josh Turnbull, Ben Morgan.Replacements: Emyr Phillips, Phil John, Simon Gardiner, Mat Gilbert, Kieran Murphy, Tavis Knoyle, Jordan Williams, Viliame Iongi.
