Munster Taste Of Sevens In Glasgow

A youthful Munster squad will travel to Glasgow this weekend to take part in the NCS Glasgow City Sevens at Cartha Queens Park RFC.

Munster Academy player Ronan O'Mahony will lead out the side, which will include fellow academy players Brian Hayes and Ryan Murphy.

The Munster Sub-Academy 's Johnny Holland and Darren Moroney have also been named along with club players Richie Mullane and James Murphy, both from Shannon RFC, Brian Slater (UCC) and Shaun Horgan (Garryowen).

Harry McNulty who recently won the All Ireland Club Sevens with Dublin University has also been included.

Munster Academy Elite Player Officer Colm McMahon said "This is a great opportunity for these players to showcase their skills at sevens rugby. Sevens is a great way of honing skills in a competitive fast paced environment and the squad are looking forward to the challenge."

Management: Colm McMahon (Coach); Feargal O'Callaghan (Conditioner); Patrick Hanley (Physiotherapist).
