21st November 2012 By jess
Munster will resume their RaboDirect PRO12 campaign on Sunday next when they take on the Scarlets of Lllanelli at Musgrave Park (5.15pm).
Squad preparation continued today with a training run in CIT where James Coughlan and Niall Ronan took a full part as did newest recruit South African CJ Stander prompting the possibility that all three will be in consideration for inclusion in the match day squad.
Second placed Scarlets – they're six points clear of Munster in fourth – have won their last three PRO12 matches and are unbeaten in their last four encounters with Irish provinces in the competition.
For their part Munster have won their last three games in all competitions. Their only home defeat in the RaboDirect PRO12 since October 2011 was 18-9 to Leinster at Thomond Park Stadium last March while their record at Musgrave Park is an impressive 15 winning streak since Glasgow won there 21-18 on the 10th May 2008.
Rob Penney is expected to name his starting XV and replacements on Friday.
